Over the past year, I realized something:
From the outside, my business probably looked successful.
Revenue was growing.
More people.
More projects.
More moving parts.
But internally, things had become way more complicated than they needed to be.
And honestly… I wasn’t happier because of it.
I think a lot of people chase “more” because they assume more automatically equals success.
More money.
More employees.
More status.
More stuff.
I used to think that way too.
But over time, I started realizing that complexity comes with a cost.
More stress.
More distractions.
More things pulling at your attention.
At some point, you stop building your life…
And your life starts managing you.
So over the past several months, I’ve been simplifying things aggressively.
Not because I stopped caring about growth.
But because I started caring more about:
freedom
peace
clarity
happiness
alignment
And ironically, simplifying has actually made the business stronger.
Some Things I’ve Cut
Unnecessary meetings
Projects that weren’t driving real results
Tools and software we didn’t actually need
Layers of complexity that slowed everything down
Constant distractions and noise
Some of the harder decisions involved restructuring parts of the team and rebuilding certain systems from scratch.
Not easy emotionally.
But necessary.
Where AI Fits Into This
One of the biggest shifts for me lately has been AI.
Not in a hype way.
In a practical way.
I started realizing that a lot of repetitive work, communication, organization, and even creative tasks could be simplified dramatically with AI tools.
That doesn’t mean humans don’t matter.
But it does mean a lot of businesses are going to look very different over the next few years.
Leaner.
Faster.
More efficient.
The people who learn to adapt early are going to have a huge advantage.
What I’m Still Figuring Out
I definitely don’t have all of this figured out.
I’m still trying to balance:
ambition with peace
growth with happiness
technology with being present
building a business without letting it consume my life
But I know this:
More isn’t always better.
Sometimes the strongest move is removing what no longer serves you.
Things I’m Experimenting With Right Now
AI and automation
Simplifying operations
Fasting and health optimization
Peptides and performance
Reducing unnecessary stress
Better focus and clarity
Spending more time present instead of constantly chasing the next thing
Anyway, these are just some thoughts I’ve been working through lately.
I’ll probably continue updating this over time as I learn more.
Appreciate you reading it.
